Within the framework of the ECCO-FARM project, a training on “Pasture Management Planning Activities, Ecosystem Services Incentives, and Training in Riparian Forest Areas” was successfully conducted in Khutag-Undur soum, Bulgan aimag, from May 10–15, 2026.
The training brought together over 70 participants, including the Governor of Teel bagh Badamdorj, the Deputy Governor, the head of the Herder Primary Association, Namnan, as well as association members, local herders, environmental specialists and womenr representatives.
Key activities included:
Initiating discussions on the implementation of the Pasture Management Plan in Khutag-Undur soum and building a shared understanding among stakeholders
Organizing consultations with herder association members on ecosystem services and incentive mechanisms
This training represents an important step toward strengthening multi-stakeholder cooperation and enhancing sustainable rangeland management and ecosystem service understanding at the local level.
