The ECCO-FARM project, in collaboration with “Healthy Animal and Risk-Free Life” NGO, organized a 2-day training on the topic ‘Improvement of Animal Health Status of Target soums by Integrated Approach of Herder-Veterinarians Interaction’ in Bornuur soum of Tuv aimag, by involving specialists from the General Authority of Veterinary Services, as well as Veterinary Departments of Tuv, Sukhbaatar, and Darkhan-Uul aimags, and Bornuur soum veterinary units and veterinary service providers, fully. The training was led by Dr. Battsetseg G. and was organized in combination of theory and hands-on practice activities. Three modules covering testing of cow milk samples by the Milk Ring-Test (MRT) for detection of Brucella antibodies, testing for residues of antimicrobials in milk samples, and diagnosing internal parasite infestations in livestock were introduced at the 2-day training held on April 9 and 10, 2025.
Batbold V., Governor of Bornuur soum of Tuv aimag made a closing remark for the training, and he expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of the ECCO-FARM project, emphasizing that the training was timely and necessary, fully involving the soum veternarians, aimag level Veterinary Departments, and veterinary service providers, and supporting them in ensuring animal health and food safety. He presented certificates to the veterinarians who successfully completed the training, congratulated them on their achievement, and expressed his full support for their veterinary unit and local service providers in the soum, wishing them continued success in their future work.
