ECCO-FARM project hosted the Gender Coordination Meeting among five ongoing GAC-funded projects on February 26, 2026. Global Affairs of Canada (GAC)-funded projects are required to have strong gender strategy and interventions pursuant to Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.
ECCO-FARM, Canada-Mongolia MERIT Catalyste+ Mongolia, IDLO’s Strengthening the Response to Gender-Based Violence in Mongolia (Phase II) , CICan’s SkillShift and Office of the Commissioner for Federal Judicial Affairs (FJA)’s Equal Justice for All in Mongolia projects exchanged information and updates on gender policies, strategies and activities, sharing available resources and knowledge on implementation approaches, engaging in meaningful discussions to identify effective areas for cooperation to prevent potential duplication. Jean-Stephane Couture, Head of Cooperation of the Embassy of Canada in Mongolia highlighted the importance of this initiative to strengthen coordination and synergy of Canadian projects in Mongolia.

To maintain this collaborative momentum, projects will conduct the Gender Coordination Meeting twice a year. Special thanks go to IDLO’s Strengthening the Response to Gender-Based Violence in Mongolia(Phase II) project for the initiative to host next meeting.
